Top 10 Best Indie Films
Some Indie films are considered odd or unusual depending on the artistic view of the film maker in each case, however, the small group of Indie film lovers tend to have open minds, sophisticated thought processing and a true desire to be moved by a film. I consider myself an avid film watcher and I believe that I know the difference between what qualifies as a good film and what is not worth time invested. Independent films have a way of opening my mind to a plethora of other possibilities, emotions, and ideas that the run of the mill movie theater just does not provide for me. When watching a film, I notice little details from the musical composition, cinematography, perfectly timed cutaway shots, or even framing. These small details help to make Indie films unique in that each film maker has a different interpretation on ideas and story lines. The storyline or plot is the basis of a film or what the film is about. A good story line can create a world that you maybe familiar with or it may take you somewhere you have never been. When a truly great actor/actress is engaged in his/her craft it can make an incredibly crazy plot seem realistic. A good actor/actress can not only loose him/herself in a character but also make the viewer forget his/her celebrity persona long enough to get wrapped up in a fictional world. The best Indie films to me are not the ones that try to seem crazy but rather the ones that open a door to other peoples lives and really take your mind to a different place.
